1. Nomination Fee

Total nomination fee: $150

Non-refundable component: $50 (non-refundable regardless of selection outcome or withdrawal)

Please note: the first $50 of the nomination fee is strictly non-refundable under any circumstances.


2. Eligibility & Conditions

By submitting this nomination, the player and their parent/guardian (where applicable) acknowledge and agree that:

  • Players must nominate for and make themselves available for State Team selection with Badminton WA.
  • Simply turning up to trials is not sufficient – availability for the State Team is required for Individuals at Nationals.
  • Players must be in good standing with BAWA (current financial member, no outstanding debts, and compliant with relevant codes of conduct).
  • Selection will be conducted in line with Badminton Australia By-laws 2.1.1 and 2.1.3.
  • If a player is selected for the State Team and later withdraws, they:
  • Are ineligible for Individuals at Nationals; and
  • May be subject to “good standing” considerations with BAWA.

  • Nominations close: mid-December
  • Trials: Saturday 31 January – Sunday 1 February
  • Team announced: Friday 13 February
  • Training commences: Week of 1 March (with the expectation of 10 sessions before Nationals)
