U15 State Team Selector

Selectors: Up to three (3) selectors appointed by the Board of Management

We are seeking independent selectors for the selection of the U15 State Teams.

Nominations close: 25 March 2026

Requirements and Information

Must be a member of Badminton WA.

A Working with Children Check is required.

Choose and arrange method to run Trials. This should be discussed with and agreed to by the Board of Management or its representative.

Attend tournaments and trials to observe players.

Run trials in a fair and equal way.

Collate the results from the trials. Results from Badminton WA tournaments and Team events may also be considered.

A Selector must understand the need for discretion around players and team selection.

Recommend team to the Board of Management with documentation to support the decisions made.

Retain results for at least 3 months after the trials.

The team coach is usually a selector, but this may not always be possible (a family member may be a nominee for a team).

Note: The Badminton WA Board may seek further applications after the Nomination Period has closed.
